LA IDCC fan,

back in the early 2000s and even in 2007(NOK ITC case start) I think IDCC could threaten legal action and there was always the fear on the licensees side that they could get whacked hard if they lost. That fear is gone now with the recent political landscape and all the appeals and conflicting decisions now that IDCC would just be wasting money by taking them now to court.

If you notice IDCC expenses have been very well maintained and a big reason is the reduction in legal fees over the last 1-2 years. I really was happy with the Huawei arbitration when it was announced and still am. We had an independent determine what rate IDCC should charge for their licensing. Once Huawei is finalized I would assume IDCC would just go to LG and ZTE and offer them the same exact rate and hopefully they will sign. We will find out shortly.
