Bfre has been on the stock market for how long? Ten years, maybe more? You would think someone or the sec would have raised a red flag by now if this was a scam?

Your faith in bureaucracy is necessary to stability of authority but not helpful in seeing how things work.

Preposterous giant frauds can continue over decades, as you know, while small tykes are smashed without so much as a word of warning to investors. To add insult to injury, the SEC proudly announces it is destroying companies to benefit investors but provides only the sketchiest evidence of fraud in most cases.

We know that failures to file required reports are the usual provided cause for abrupt suspension of trading but there are many OTC stocks that have filed no reports for years. Enforcement actions against very small public companies are sporadic and arbitrary.

All beside the point.

I think there are few here that deny the essential facts of demonstration of viable conversion of varied cellulosic materials to ethanol in a years-long trial of a small demonstration plant.

What has not been proven is that commercialization is possible or probable.

The demonstration of the conversion process went well beyond proof of concept but the failure of management to raise necessary, relatively limited additional funds after a significant guarantee by the U.S. government was a disaster that may never be repaired.

The reason for management failure to raise necessary funding is unknown to me and entirely speculative to most any of us I believe.

"Scam" is a generally loose accusation that many unprincipled accusers use without a shred of evidence to back it up. I know of no serious evidence of fraud in this case.
