Ignore the ask before the bell and after, approx 20 minutes each way, as it's just a market maker default, an arbitrary number, basically saying trading has not started, now ended, respectively.

If you have level II real time, you'll see accurate bid/ask, but even that can be 1 or 2 minutes off.
