Liquidations are different.

Pursuant to NASDAQ rules, when a dividend is declared in a per share amount that exceeds 25% of a company's stock price, the date on which that company's shares will begin to trade without the dividend, or ex-dividend, is the first business day following the payable date.

The investor's return on investment is only known once the liquidation process is complete (unless sold prior to the last payment).

Needless to say, it is best to begin investing in a liquidation as soon as possible. My initial investment started with the rights offering last year. The effective price after the exchanges and reverse split is $30.56. I have since averaged down to a cost of $28.92 per share. Investors who bought the last couple of days will enjoy less profit.

I always reinvest liquidating distributions into more shares, thus increasing my share of the final payment.

The end game will be the profit generated from the redevelopment of the Cortlandt Manor and Flowerfield properties.

FUR is another current opportunity.
