It's a big year for Wade Boggs and celebrations of great teams.

Thirty years ago, Boggs was a main cog on the 1986 American League champion Boston Red Sox. Twenty years ago, Boggs—as an older, less productive star—was the starting third baseman for the World Series champion 1996 Yankees.

Now we know which team Boggs liked better—or at least can surmise a conclusion about it.

On Wednesday night, Boggs was back where his career began in Fenway Park in Boston. The Red Sox invited him back to celebrated the 1986 AL Championship season, but probably didn't know what kind of jewelry he'd wear to the occasion.

That's right, Boggs wore his 1996 World Series championship ring. A Yankees title ring in Fenway Park.
