Hi Tom, I agree about AIM taking time, and especially the issue of volatility. It looks to me as both high to low range and rate of change are critical elements to success with AIM. This is why it seems to me that many index ETFs are not good choices, both because the range is short and the volatility is low. Given that I have not seen a beta for ETFs I'm not sure how to quantify the volatility.

With stocks it appears that both a very low beta and a high beta work with AIM as this seems to indicate a counter-cyclical quality that works well with AIM. I don't quite understand how the low beta works but in back testing it seems to. Could you explain this?
