Semifinal Performances

As per my usual all notes were taken before the coaches comments and not changed.

Shalyah - Technically good but she has let the all of the attention go to her and lost track; she pushes too hard; This performance was seriously overdone. C

Adam & Alisan - Not great but good. However, they needed a song with more energy. B & B

Paxton - A fair performance but I did not like it. C

Laith - Brave song choice. It worked, I really liked this, it wasn't perfect but it was very good. A

Bryan & Mary - Very professional, solid effort by both artist. B+ & B+

Alisan - Good song choice, a fav'. She pushed it too hard in the last verse, but still it was a great performance. A

Hannah & Laith - Not great song but a good one. Both artist were good but Laith was better Alisan B Laith B+

Adam - Good song choice. Adam had some weak spots with this, but overall it was a pretty good dang performance. A+

Bryan - Wow, that was very good; a couple of misses but a solid effort. A

Paxton & Shalyah - For me this was a contest of who could out voice style the other; they should have just sang the song, instead they over-performed and it stunk. F

Hannah - Great song choice, but be careful, it is a classic, Pharrell just gave her some really good advice. Poor Hannah, all the right tools, tactics and desire but only a good voice and nothing too special. This is truly sad as this girl can really sing, it was a great effort and great performance, probably the performance of the night. A

All i all it was a good night, the duets were weak but the solos were pretty good for the most part, and the band was really good too.

It is a tough choice picking just the top four as most really put up some good performances. However, it it were up to me my bottom four would be:

Bryan, Hannah, Paxton & Shalyah,

but I would not be surprised to see Hannah or Bryan to replace any of the four I just listed.

With that said, I would not be totally shocked if Laith is sent home, he is a damn good Blues artist but not everybody appreciates the the Blues. But again, for me I stand by the four on the bottom I have listed above.
