The Premiere Worldwide Film Market

What is the difference between the Festival de Cannes and the Marché du Film?

The Festival de Cannes is one of the world’s major film festivals, it brings together the artistic and commercial dimensions of cinema by promoting cinematographic and professional exchanges.

The Marché du Film takes place in tandem with the Festival and is the most important meeting place for film professionals who come from all over the world to buy and sell film rights, find co-producers and network.

The Marché du Film favours exchanges and also gives great visibility to participants by offering a wide range of services such as meetings, exhibition spaces and screenings. Last year, around 4,000 films and projects were presented; there were 1,500 screenings of a thousand of these films, of which 75% were premieres.

This is an opportunity to meet professionals, to trade, to exchange and to advance your projects.

The Marché du Film is the most important event of the film industry and the meeting point of more than 11,000 professionals, including 3,200 producers, 2,300 distributors rooms, 1,500 sellers and 790 festival organizers.

HHSE/Medallion Releasing/Cannes/PREVIEW: $28,500,000 Productions, 17 Major Stars, Outside Funded

According to the last HHSE Blog, HHSE/Medallion 2016 Cannes International Film Festival Line-Up will contain an impressive 30+ Titles compiled into a 28 page Brochure. We do not know the exact Line-Up yet as there are several big announcements still to come. However, HHSE has provided 2 previews that when combined provide quite a bit of info and reveals why HHSE is so excited about Cannes 2016.

Below, I have combined the February 9 Blog Preview with the HHSE February 15 Filing Preview. This only a sneak peek, it is not final, not official. Obviously, there will be deletions and additions as business conditions warrant.

The following is a brief summary of high-profile projects that HHSE and Medallion Releasing are contracted to represent, and which are expected to enhance the visibility and revenues of the Company. In order to preserve certain proprietary restrictions on announcing specific cast members and production details, HHSE will only disclose those items of title, genre and overall funding / releasing mechanisms. The listing of these projects below in Alphabetical order is not intended to imply a specific ranking of priority or anticipated revenue strength.

"DELIRIUM" –$1.5-mm Production - Sci-Fi / Horror Feature, solid cast ( 1 Major Star ) – Private Investor financing will cover all production costs, plus fund a ‘seed’ theatrical P&A budget for HHSE / Medallion. Summary of the above 8 Theatricals:
* $28,500,000 In Productions
* 17 Major Stars
* NO Out of Pocket Investment by HHSE
* NO New Issuance of HHSE Stock Shares
* All Outside Funded (private investors, co-production ventures, “banking” or presales or tax incentives / credits)

Each of the above eight (8) major productions are expected to be released by HHSE / Medallion to theatres in the USA and Canada at a level that would meet the standards of a “national” or “wide” release breadth. Each of the above feature productions is being financed by private investors or through a combination of private investor funding, co-production ventures, “banking” or presales or tax incentives / credits – and none of the above films requires an out of pocket investment by Hannover House, Inc., nor calls for the issuance of HHSE stock shares.

The Company is also handling the April 22 theatrical release of “UNION BOUND” to approximately 165 theatres in most of the USA’s top 50 largest markets, and an “UNTITLED ROMANTIC COMEDY” (completed feature, still awaiting title clearance), which will be released to all major markets on or about June 17, 2016. In addition to the eight major productions and two mid-level theatrical releases listed above, the Company is also involved in both the production and worldwide distribution of six “lower-budgeted” productions, which may or may not ultimately merit more than a small “platform” theatrical releases. The Eight (8) major new titles, plus the Two (2) mid-level theatrical releases and the Six (6) lower-budgeted productions are collectively expected to drive the majority of revenues for HHSE and Medallion during 2016 and 2017. The Company expects to release a total of thirty-two (32) titles to the Home Video / VOD Market during 2016, which include some of the above items, but which list is primarily comprised of direct-to-video or “limited-release theatrical” titles to the home video market / VOD markets under the HHSE and Medallion labels.
