When VIX is spiking stay out, it can be parabolic, unless you can catch call at the right time. Set chart below to 1 year.

After VIX spikes and gets way above upper BB, it has tendency to gravitate towards low. So after the spike best to look for PUT opportunity in UVXY, VXX. Once VIX gets near recent lows it gets tricky to play options on UVXY, VXX.
