Agree, his stance seems a bit puzzling. He states "People adjust the way they smoke to get the nicotine they need or want." His view is somewhat contra to the scientific evidence coming out on VLN cigarette usage. Recent studies (eg Donny et al. 2015, NEJM) tend to show that if there is any compensation in response to a reduction in nicotine yield, then that response at best is only modest.

Although speaking of 'back pockets', Esad1 might have a good point there! Hmmm.
