The government already has precedent that says its ok for them to take your private property and use it for PRIVATE use as long as the private use has public benefits. This is so broad, the government could basically say they are going to give your house to a lobbying developer because the lobbying developer will create jobs. (The same logic could be used for about any taking).

Now if the government wins this, it is effectively saying that the government can take private property for private use WITHOUT just compensation.

They have a word for that...Communism. (Not saying Communism is bad, but let's not call ourselves America if we allow Communist ideologies to rule).
