Obedience to God, our personal relationship to Jesus, why is that so important? God gave us a free will to do what we want when we want all the way to letting us choose heaven or hell. We can be obedient to His word or we can rebel with sin...its our choice! God loves us unconditionally but our perfect, Holy and righteous God can not look upon sin. Just as when Jesus was on the cross paying our sin debt, God turned His back on Jesus for that period of time that the sin of the world...past, present, future...came upon Jesus! The same with christians, when we sin against God and His commandments it hinders our relationship with Him until we confess and repent of that wrong doing. When we harbor sin in our heart and lives it effects our relationship with Jesus. i dont want that...how about you? Our prayers can go unanswered, blessings can stop coming our way, life can become difficult because our loving heavenly Farther will bring correction and discipline upon us to not only get our attention...but also to get us back on the straight and narrow. As believers...God loves us to much to let us keep screwing up not only our lives but also our relationship with Him. Is sin really worth it? Folks, as believers we are all going to fall short at times. We are human and be it in word, deed, thought, we all sin from time to time. However...we need to remember a promise God has made to us and stop using the cop out that its just human nature to sin....."No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it"...(1 Corinthians 10:13)...What im saying is that when we do mess up, let us stop in our tracks and right then and there ask God for forgiveness of whatever we have just done and for strength to not repeat our wrong...Sin!
