To compared old (2011) v. new (2016) Kryron armor plate.

All well and good to observe "... current 2016 armor plates are both lighter weight and more efficient to withstand more impacts."

Yes, but the same concern expressed as an issue in 2011 may still be present for these 2016 plates such that until resolved there is no possibility for a substantial revenue stream for Bourque Industries selling armor plates.

This issue was identified by person Sean Floyd that held positions of Sr. Vice-President to the CEO of Bourque Industries, and Interim CEO of Bourque Industries, that being "... the cost to produce for commercial applications is prohibited."

Once again, if true then only samples can be manufactured by Bourque Industries for demonstrations, that with a possible less than a dozen private sales to law enforcement at a purchase cost far less than that required by Bourque Industries to manufacture.

So once again, as in 2011, all accounts of Kryron's 2016 armor service superior performance resides in the same context as all such potentials for Kryron mentioned on the company web site, with emphasis here directed towards the wire initiative that may at this point in development have a manufacturing cost to produce being prohibited for marketplace sales.

All this may simply mean that there are no current possible sales of Kryron applications, and when manufacturing cost can be adjusted sufficiently downwards is unknown at this time, meaning... tune in this time in 2017 for a possible update by Bourque Industries.
