Why would any CEO say a R/S was going to benefit shareholders - anything they say after that can't be trusted.

Although I am not sure how you could sell a reverse split as a positive.

I was a investor in a company on Nasdaq and they had a shareholder vote to do a reverse split to increase the price to stay listed. Of course it failed.
