I have held plates from both demonstrations to which I referred. I was present at the first demonstration a few years ago, and shared on this board a small portion of a video given me by a source, outside of BORK, who was present at the recent demonstration. Subsequent to the recent demonstration my source was present as I held and examined the plates from the recent event.

I cannot speak of any information about the science of the plates. I can only say that the latter plates were both lighter weight and more efficient. In both demonstrations the plates absorbed multiple impacts with the demonstrated ability to withstand more.

Generally these demonstrations begin by holding the plate to be fired upon high over the head and dropping it to a concrete floor. This is to demonstrate the difference from the behavior of a ceramic plate which should be discarded after such a impact from being dropped.
