I guess it is time to use 2016 as the tax write off year then,...

In the "small blessings" category - at least I have some net gains for 2016 I can write these losses off against. A few other things have gone generally well.

But yeah - it would make an interesting case for somebody to write up for a textbook of what NOT to do.
