What upsets me is the way analysts beat up on SWN saying that they cut capex and stop drilling wells. Supposedly, this will lower production by 15% and make SWN a worthless stock. Bull crap!

How stupid does it get? Wellhead natgas price are below lifting cost so the only sensible options are to stop drilling wells, conserve cash flow, and wait until prices recover.

They are also criticize buying hundreds of thousands of drilling acreage in the Marcellus play from CKG in 2004. I see this as the best move SWN ever made. The 720K acres in Marcellus is extremely valuable going forward.
