with Trump's support comes rejection of Tea Party people such as Ted Cruz and Rand Paul as presidential aspirants in 2016, as was Ron Paul ('the intellectual godfather
of the TP movement') rejected in 2012 .. to an important extent, at least, it looks like that to me .. the Tea Party people were/are about all the positions you mentioned ..

so for mine the support for Trump (while, yes, your reasons are part of it) is not so much for the reasons you give, but rather more simply because he
is seen as the most "different", "interesting" and "exciting" as Stephanie's suggested .. and as is obvious his terrible business record and his penchant
for lying are laid aside as not important, as well as probably not even seen as fact by many of the now so-called independent voters who support him ..
