Rice Energy Inc. lost $274 million, or $2.06 per share, during the fourth quarter last year. That’s down from a net income of $104 million, or 76 cents per share, during the last three months of 2014.
Its full year income loss was $268 million, or $2.14 per share. In 2014, Rice reported a profit of $219 million, or $1.70 per share.
The Canonsburg oil and gas developer also announced its capital budget for 2016 on Wednesday afternoon. At $640 million, it’s a 14 percent decrease from 2015.
Rice Midstream Partners, a master limited partnership that operates pipelines and compression assets, announced a $150 million capital budget for the year, a 12 percent drop from last year.
