I need to go through the Micron investor day presentation at some point, but hopefully Intel will have access to 3D NAND for its enterprise drives soon! Right now this is an area where Samsung has a technical advantage and IMFT needs to catch up.

It isn’t yet clear whether Micron will use these 3D NAND chips for Xpoint, a significantly faster storage and memory technology that it’s developing with Intel.



Who wrote this? 3DXPoint is a completely different type of memory, not at all related to NAND flash/3D NAND. It is very clear that these 3D NAND chips will not be used for 3DXPoint.
