Hilarious wild guess. I live in Calgary, where the head office of virtually every Cdn oil company resides. There are about 1,000 of them, so anyone like me who went to business school there knows some VP's of finance as former classmates or sometimes even friends.
The one I mentioned this market maker theory to today laughed at the idea that any Venture listed company has a market maker creating bogus liquidity.

Maybe on the pinks in the US this is a rampant issue but not here. I follow (but would never invest in) mzei listed there and they haven't had an agm for 8 years, so that exchange sounds like the place for MM.
