I appreciate your input. I have read the intelligent investor along with other value investing literature over the years. I have degrees in Finance, Accounting and Economics, so this all interests me very much. Berkshire has been very fun to watch since its meteoric rise off the 2009 bottoms. Buffett clearly knows how to play the game and Munger is entertaining as they come. I trade pennies and ETFs in my brokerage account as a second income (full time CPA). For retirement accounts, I invest completely different and understand what you are saying. I use charting for short term technical based moves, but when it comes to actually investing, not trading, my analysis is always done purely on the SEC filings.

It will be very interesting to see what happens this year as we have a market extremely overvalued on a P/E basis, with fluxing monetary policy coming from the FOMC. I am always curious if we get more information on what pulled Buffett into SRG and if he sees any value in SHLD considering all of the real estate it still holds.

Interesting note, since Sears Holdings Corp has traded under symbol (SHLD) - there have only been 7 other weeks that it closed at this low of share price..and those were the first 7 weeks of its trading. I don't have the historical quotes for Sears Roebuck, but I'd imagine we are trading near all time lows, CPI adjusted especially.
