Settlement Agreement, Can be viewed many ways

It is also possible that COO was paid a small settlement by EPGL.
Possibly EPGL had to pay out a settlement for wasting COO time, money or threatening a suit.

We can't tell for certain unless there is clear evidence supporting a money transfer or audited financials.
