Maybe he should push aside his spreadsheets and "far ahead view" and discuss Sears with people under 80 years old, most of whom wouldn't want to be seen walking into a stodgy Sears store. Or certainly walking out with a bag of clothing.
Their 4th Q (including Christmas) numbers are atrocious. No doubt warm weather hurt coat and tire sales. But good conditions made it easier for their older clientele to drive to stores. For as long as I recall, blaming weather for bad retail business has been seen as a dodge.
