1. They are paid a diminmus amount to compensate for their time and costs of travel to meetings etc.
2. They are given a small amount of options to align themselves with shareholders.
3. Board members are not paid like executives of VRNG. While an executive can be on the board, in this case this person is simply a board member and therefore is remunerated as such.
4. Many people here seem to be thinking that board members are being paid 100's of thousands of dollars plus options. This is NOT THE CASE and indeed if you do your homework all of the information is in VRNG's public filings.
5. The only board members who get paid 100's of thousands + options are VRNG executives whose daily job is also to run the company not just sit on the board.
