Chas Statins lower both inflammation and LDL cholesterol .

Everyone seems to agree with that .

We know JL's subgroup were on low dose Statins and their LDL was at median 178 .

If this subgroup had been on a high dose of a statin like Crestor, their LDL would have been dramatically lowered as would have been their level of inflammation.

As to your idea that "LDL reduction methods didn't lower risk "
We await Amgens Outcome trial with their PCSK9 for LDL reduction .
This , and other PCSK9 Outcome trials reporting mid-late 2016 onwards ,I believe should settle the LDL debate once and for all.
