Straight Outta Compton has been SharkReach’s biggest success to date and what has put the company on the map. SharkReach generated around 131 million impressions for the movie. This is 120 million more than anyone expected at Universal Studios expected. As a result, the film studio signed up SharkReach to handle marketing for this summer’s upcoming blockbuster Warcraft.

CEO Steve Smith said in the Forbes article:

“It’s finding the right talent, working with them to create great content that they can promote to their audiences, but then helping them figure out how to amplify that content into bigger mainstream media as well. Our process is understanding what the client wants and then leveraging our close, direct working relationship with the talent to conceptualize content that is cool, and will be effective with their audience. That’s the piece that is usually missing. The talent doesn’t really want to work with the client; that’s a dead stop for most relationships. That’s where we create a bridge.”
