I hadn't finished reading the article but was thinking tax revenues and new jobs...What do politicians care about the most (aside from lining their own pockets)? Tax revs and new jobs!

Still, there’s always the threat that the plug could be pulled, though it’s pretty hard to think that the federal government would be willing to do so at this point, when there’s so much on the line in terms of tax revenues, jobs, and investment.

By November, there will be too much on the line. If the economy is still "struggling" at the end of this year, I can't see one politician having the guts to pull the plug on MJ. Nope. By then, too many local economies will be dependent on the money generated by this new industry.
