Standard Uranium forms alliance with Fleet Space Technologies for exploration at Davidson River

This advanced geophysical program combines real-time 3D Ambient Noise Tomography (ANT) and ground gravity surveys, providing powerful new data layers to improve geological targeting. The technology will be rolled out in spring 2025 across the Warrior, Bronco, and Thunderbird conductors—three of the most promising structural corridors on the Davidson River Project. By integrating ANT and gravity data, the surveys will generate 3D shear velocity models and custom density inversion models, which will serve as critical layers for drill targeting. These models are designed to pinpoint density anomalies in basement rocks, a key indicator of hydrothermal alteration processes often associated with uranium-bearing systems. This approach has been instrumental in the discovery of world-class uranium deposits elsewhere in the southwestern Athabasca Basin, and Standard Uranium aims to replicate that success with a data-driven targeting strategy. Element 25 delivers positive Tokyo Bay Scoping Study

Element 25 managing director Justin Brown talked with Proactive about the recent completion of the Tokyo Bay HPMSM Facility Scoping Study in partnership with Nissin Chemical Corporation. The company said the results of the scoping study were positive enough to justify advancing the project to the pre-feasibility stage. Brown explained that the Tokyo Bay site offers unique advantages, including a co-located sulfuric acid plant, deepwater port access, and supporting infrastructure critical for high-purity manganese sulfate production. “We took our learnings from the detailed work we’ve done in Louisiana… and converted them to a Japanese setting,” Brown said. He also noted that Japan's regulatory and geopolitical environment makes it an ideal location for refining and supplying the local battery market. Looking ahead, Brown confirmed that Element 25 and Nissin Chemical will conduct deeper engineering and cost analysis under their existing MOU, with a final investment decision targeted for June 2026. The next milestone will be the pre-feasibility study, expected later this year. Brown also discussed how the Tokyo Bay project fits into the company’s broader “design one, build many” strategy, which aims to establish a global network of refineries fed by ethically sourced manganese from Element 25’s Butcherbird mine. Switch Metals eyes fast-track tantalum output in Côte d'Ivoire as it lists on AIM

Switch Metals Plc (AIM:SWT) CEO Karl Akueson talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company’s listing on London’s AIM market and its focus on developing tantalum projects in Côte d'Ivoire. Akueson explained that Switch Metals, a private company he founded, was acquired through a reverse takeover by Oneiro Energy. The company's flagship Issia project hosts tantalum mineralisation, including occurrences of coltan at surface. According to Akueson, this provides an opportunity for near-term production from shallow deposits, with the company aiming to reach output within the next two years. He described tantalum as “a very strategic technology metal… in our mobile phones, laptops, plasma TV, everything we use daily,” highlighting its importance and rarity. Akueson emphasised that 60% of the global supply currently comes from the DRC and Rwanda, and Switch Metals aims to become a significant alternative source. Discussing the decision to list in the UK, Akueson pointed to his personal background and the UK’s long-standing understanding of African production. Alkane hits high-grade gold at Tomingley

Alkane Resources Ltd managing director Nic Earner talked with Proactive about recent high-grade gold intercepts and ongoing resource expansion at the Tomingley gold operations in New South Wales. Earner detailed strong results from underground drilling at both the Caloma and Roswell zones, with intercepts showing multiple grams per tonne over substantial widths. “We’ve had some very, very high-grade hits… tens of metres at plus ten grams in Roswell,” he noted, highlighting the significant contribution these results will make to near-term reserve updates and future production planning. The company is confident these results will support mine life extensions well into the 2030s. Reserve and resource updates, including for Caloma One and Caloma Two, are expected in the August–September period, following analysis of the June 30 data. Earner also touched on Alkane’s recent financial performance, stating: “It’s been a great quarter… we had a great cash build,” helped by strong production and a high Australian-dollar gold price. He confirmed guidance remains on track, with 17,500 ounces produced and expectations of reaching 19,000 ounces by quarter end. Alkane continues to advance permitting for the highway relocation and is actively progressing exploration across both the Boda-Kaiser project and Tomingley region.
