Massive safe gets stuck in car during burglary

HAYS COUNTY, Texas (CBS12) — They say everything's big in Texas, but one duo's getaway car did not fit that bill.
The Hays County Sheriff's Office says Joel Rene Perez and Oscar Perez Jr., tried to steal a large safe from a mobile home park in San Marcos, Texas.
The two didn't get very far, mainly because the safe didn't fit in the car.
Photos obtained by CBS12 from the Hays County Sheriff's Office tell the story.
The big safe is stuck in the car door.
A homeowner saw the theft in progress and called 911. His surveillance camera recorded the incident, allowing deputies to get a good description of the thieves.
Authorities captured the two men after a short chase. A third person apprehended by deputies after the chase has been cleared of any wrongdoing.
The two men face burglary charges.
