ROBERT CALKIN
Chief Executive Officer
Robert’s storied legacy in the cannabis industry began in 1976 when he and fellow activists staged a “smoke in” at the Mall in Washington, DC. It was that act of protest that sparked Robert’s lifelong mission to bring cannabis away from black market trade and into a mainstream industry to help and heal those in need of it.

In 1988, in addition to being an original member of the American Hemp Council, with cannabis pioneers Chris Conrad and Jack Herer, Robert started Green Dot LA, a collective that has compassionately helped thousands of patients over the years with their medical marijuana needs. Additionally, Robert has been teaching delivery classes at Oaksterdam University since 2008.

His unique approach to the cannabis business has helped hundreds of entrepreneurs start their own successful businesses. His book and video, “Starting Your Own Medical Marijuana Delivery Service” has sold thousands of copies. In 2009, Robert founded Cannabis Career Institute, which has educated and trained hundreds aspiring to become part of the cannabis industry in various capacities.

DR. GERRY BEDORE
President
Overall, Gerry has 18 years Mid Management, Sr. Management and Executive experience in ground up building and scaling of technology enhanced and technology based learning programs. Gerry is widely recognized for his work in building and supporting many of the most successful online education organizations in the world today.

Gerry has degrees and advanced degrees in biological sciences, forest management, business, and education. In addition, he is a certified master gardener with a highly successful background in growing and horticulture. Gerry feels the sum total of his life’s work and experiences has positioned him to advance cannabis sciences on many levels.

Some of Gerry’s key accomplishments include leading a team to build the Art Institute Online and scaled it to support Education Management Corporation (EDMC) in acquiring South University, Argosy University, and Brown Mackie Colleges that provided the foundation for creating Education Management Corporation Online Higher Education (OHE). EDMC went from a $200 million dollar a year company to 41% of the company being acquired by Goldman Sachs for $3.2 billion dollars in a seven year period. Gerry’s team built and positioned EDMC to be a “player” in the online higher education market. EDMC OHE is a demonstration of his leadership; ability to function as a team player; and his ability to lead and build a quality organization.

GRADY PADGETT
Master Cultivator
Grady Padgett, with over 40 years “hands on” experience growing cannabis, brings considerable knowledge to Cannaworx, Inc., including decades of meticulous laboratory notes, and numerous published videos related to the cannabis industry. Grady’s repertoire includes growing indoors, outdoors, and in greenhouses, using practical knowledge from each year’s effort to patiently improve on techniques, while keeping qualitative and quantitative data of his results. Grady also holds a Master Gardener certification.

Indoors, Grady is expert in complex fully automated growing systems both in soil, synthetic media and hydroponic systems, many of which he designed himself. Outdoors, Grady has grown in a variety of climates from Oregon, to Florida, from Georgia to Hawaii, as well as several locations in Central and Northern California.

Grady also has over 12 years growing in raised beds in large greenhouse and multi-greenhouse systems. All of this experience has been data logged in laboratory journals which has produced an in-depth knowledge set he references to constantly build-on year after year. Grady is known to enjoy teaching his techniques and sharing his knowledge with others – a very important quality as Cannaworx will need an expanding team of growers, including accompanying supervisors and managers developed internally.

In the past, Grady has been responsible for a significant number of precision cannabis growers getting started and building up their ongoing operations. From these experiences, Grady has developed multi-person apprentice crew methodologies to ensure well established practices are consistently followed. As part of Grady’s experience history in Northern California, he has established a strong network of industry relationships, including growers, brokers, collectives, dispensaries and suppliers.

Grady also is a cannabis breeder with over 20 years of experience developing both new hybrid strains, and preserving heritage/land race strains through straight-line breeding. Currently, Grady has over 100 strains he has bred, some well beyond F2 up to F9 hybrids in his private collection. Additionally, Grady is adept at producing pure female seeds through a variety of techniques from stress-induced to chemical-induced sex change breeding techniques. Some of Grady’s strains have won Cannabis Cup competition (Cali Gold in 2010, via Mr. Natural Seeds, Inc.), and have also been published in coffee-table books like Cannabible (“Snerval”, in Cannabible 3).

With over 30 years of diversified business experience, Kurt brings to Cannaworx a life time of insights and experiences. With management, executive and entrepreneurial expertise in all phases of service and manufacturing enterprises, Kurt brings an integrated resource perspective to the family of Cannaworx companies to provide the appropriate blend of support services to operations with a compassionate bottom line perspective.

Kurt continues to remain passionate about bringing twenty first century tactics and strategies to the cannabis industry through Cannaworx in the areas of accounting, finance, human resources, information systems, and total quality management.

As a graduate of Michigan State University and the University of Chicago along with five professional certifications, including Certified Public Accountant; Certified Management Accountant; Certified in Production and Inventory Management; Certified in Integrated Resource Management; and Certified Internal Auditor, Kurt complements his practical experience with the appropriate intellectual firepower.
