The statute of limitations on fraud in most states, and on the federal level, is five years. In the case of individuals--as opposed to, say, federal regulatory agencies--who've been defrauded, the limit may be extended to the moment at which they because aware of the fraud. But that wouldn't apply here, because what happened has been known since 2005.
