That is incorrect. There are multiple differences between the two, the most notable being that this most recent posting seeks to have cannabis removed entirely from the CSA, versus only being moved from a Schedule I to a Schedule II substance in the CARERS ACT.

Here are links to both for comparison. I prefer this one for the obvious reason indicated above. Since alcohol is not listed in the CSA, it is literally ludicrous to have cannabis there. No one in their right mind who has studied both substances and knows the impact of each on society can intelligently argue this issue IMO.
