Recently, Cree bought Rudd Lighting and expanded its operations in Wisconsin under its partnership with CGEI CGE Energy. CGE Energy is an international partner of the company. It has almost 2,600 workers at its facility in Durham, North Carolina, and a total of 7,130 employees as of 2014, which excludes the recent expansion in Wisconsin.
