Police: Students steal vice principal's BMW, crash it
BY KOMO STAFF THURSDAY, JANUARY 14TH 2016

MARYSVILLE, Wash. -- The vice principal at Marysville Pilchuck High School got the surprise of her life last month when she stepped out of her office and two students stole her car keys and made off with her BMW.

Marysville Police Cmdr. Robb Lamoureux said the two 15-year-old girls were in the vice principal's office on December 2. The vice principal briefly stepped out of the office, and when she came back she noticed her car keys were missing.

When she looked in the parking lot, she realized her BMW was also missing.

A short time later, a man named Pat Wade says he was stopped at an intersection in Stanwood when a BMW crashed into his Chevy Silverado, significantly damaging both vehicles.

Wade said he was surprised to see two young girls get out of the wrecked BMW and run away from the scene.

Lamoureux said the girls turned themselves in to police and acknowledged making a "bad decision." The girls weren't arrested and were released to the custody of their parents, Lamoureux said.

The case has been referred to the Snohomish County Prosecutor's Office, but it's unclear if the girls have been charged with any crimes. Citing privacy rules, the Marysville School District would not discuss the case and what disciplinary action was taken.

Common sense is a flower that doesn't grow in everyone's garden!
