Let me start out with saying that I think Heather Bresch is one smart cookie and I've had Mylan for a couple of years. I also think that Mylan is a much better fit in the Bio Space than Baxter.
Now do I think Mylan has "validated" Momenta's approach? Absolutely not. At this point Mylan has purchased the rights for Momenta's work on the Orencia biosimilar and I would think Momenta just might have more than the $40m invested in it already.
$40 Million pre tax to Mylan is chump change. Mylan just announced another $1B stock buyback, so I'd guess they value their enterprise more than Momenta don't they.
Validation is years and years away, if ever.
With the current state of Momenta's Enox franchise no one could even say that Momenta's whole existence has been validated.
