Installing SolarWindow™ on tall towers could outperform traditional rooftop solar systems by as much as 50-fold, according to Company engineers presenting new modeling data.

now that is interesting. how much efficency does their system have? tradition rooftop solar systems have around 17% efficency. how can they beat that 50-fold?

Traditional solar also requires direct sunlight and cannot operate in shaded areas, a key advantage for SolarWindow™ applications where all four sides of a tower becomes a clean power-generator.

this wont make it 50 times more efficent than traditional rooftop solar systems imo.

furthermore the only place i see these solar systems installed is on skyscrapers. their windows are not transparent and you can actually see the wires in them. who wants to have such a window installed in his family home? i wouldnt.

furthermore saying that there is around xxx acres of unused skyscraper window space and suggesting that solar window would potentially be installed on this space is like saying there is xxxxxxxxxxx acres of unused land/rooftop space on this planet ready for use for traditional solar systems. so what?

opinions?
