Why couldn't they do both? Satisfy the FDA by altering the claims on the label, keeping Abloc on the market, and still pursuing a pharmaceutical drug. Not that far fetched. It is a bit puzzling that not much if any effort was made to keep Abloc on the market. Maybe there is more to it than the public was made aware of.
