I see it in the long future, not soon.
Same happen and its happenig with other technologies (cellphones-smartphones, tv-computer, etc.) Maybe DDD will be one of many companies in this field. This is only one of my 3D print portfolio. The hype and euphoria was too a big for the speed of development. Also they need create a home printer for no more of $200, thats a big challenge but big reward.

I think we are very far from that but that will happen again, as other tech over and over. The power to make any tool, piece, article you need at home its really wonderful. Also, I think there will be companies where you can buy a diagram or specs of an article and print it right away, Oh my!!!! Of course in the long long future. Just my opinion ;)
