It's pretty simple isn't it. People have used anatabine and benefitted from it, and now they can't get it because the FDA threatened the providers and drove them into a multi-year series of tests.

I'm all for the science, tests, trials, etc. But opposed to prohibition, especially to prohibitions that raise the suspicion that someone's market is being protected by the regulatory agency.

Most regulatory agencies are either initially proposed and established by the interests to be regulated, or eventually become captured by those interests and set to work protecting market, media, and political territories.
