Report of Acquisition by Winthrop Realty Trust of a Property in San Antonio, Texas is Incorrect (1/04/16)

BOSTON, Jan. 04, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Winthrop Realty Trust (NYSE:FUR) (“Winthrop”) announced today that the report in the San Antonio Business Journal that Winthrop has acquired a multi-family property in San Antonio, Texas is incorrect. As previously reported, Winthrop has adopted a plan of liquidation and is not seeking to acquire any additional assets. The report in the San Antonio Business Journal has since been withdrawn.
