Hi lakers17. With so many rules on this forum, as a Christian, I am afraid of saying much of anything. The title of the forum did catch my eye because I lived as an agnostic for years. A good part of my reasons for that was due to all the hypocrisy within Christianity. I made the mistake of believing that the hypocrisy was approved by God and part of His nature. Therefore, it did not make sense to me that God was real. After all, God is suppose to be the ultimate in what is good, pure, holy and loving. I didn't see Him as any of this when I looked at the Christians and the lives of those who were suppose to be representing Him. People were praying for me. One day the scales fell off my eyes. I could finally see Him for all of His true beauty. I began to seek Him instead of the hypocritical people within Christianity. I'm glad I did. I would love to hear what made you decide to become an atheist if you don't mind sharing it. Were you always an atheist? Or, was there an event in your life that caused these beliefs? TIA
