we have about a foot of snow, a little more on the peaks. It appears to want to stay, as the temperatures have been unseasonably cold. It is reminiscent of the last mega el nino in 1997, when the snow built up early and then a Pineapple Express came at new year's, and the deluge of warm rain and warm weather took the snow off in a "rain on snow" event which caused severe flooding and the loss of many roads and caused general mayhem.

Our temps locally have been colder than Pt. Barrow, Alaska.
