I came to the same conclusion as Gabor. The key to the statement is "and still in the trial."
If both patients are in the trial in 2015, they have an equal chance of having an event going forward. The difference is the patient enrolled in 2015 had no chance to have an event in 2013 or 2014 unlike the patient enrolled in 2013 who did have a chance, but it did not occur.
