stop losses on nyse discontinued on feb 26th

this stuff always intrigued my research. as an initial computer science major... learning python, c, c++, java, oneclick... i could go on.. but this recent news has really brought HFT and science to the markets..

Beginning Feb 26th 2016 STOP LOSS ORDERS WILL NO LONGER BE EXCEPTED ON NYSE.. nor will buystops.

WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

This seems insane and for that matter, its been brought forward to stop large volatility in markets. they quote AUG 24th 2015 For their reasoning. stating that traders got stopped out at "rock bottom" only to miss the for after rally.

now if you were long for years 1000 shares, i can see why.

but what about intra day traders? they'd get screwed. (my conspiracy)

are the HFT clowns trying to push out real traders once and for all?

don't worry they suggest just using price alerts, you can easily get to your phone or home computer and close a trade.. you know, when its in free-fall, and it drops several points.. i'm speechless.

since moving into futures, the idea of this boggles my mind, mind you this is not being implemented on the cme.. (give the 1% time) they feel hft traders won't be able to prey on stop losses any longer.. I've always felt margin requirements are bs.. but this just adds to my conspiracy thoughts. i really can't find any other reasoning, other than impairing the implementation of new players to the market via unrealistic requirements to the average participant, you know, the reason to WHY monopolies are usually broken up.

now i present you this.

crooks looking for absolute control over stocks via computer trading. even wall street wants to remove more jobs.. greed is going paragon. this move is ridiculous. i feel like my time as a trader may be in jeopardy.. unless i develop complex algorithms, pay millions in hardware and network access, and land a partnership with a small bank like jp morgan.. i mean why not, i guess i can go without the bigger yact this year.
