HEMP has shown no ability to make good

The problem with HEMP that most fail to acknowledge is that it has never shown the ability to make good on its promises.

The promises are always big, and they are never achieved.

Why pay at least 2X what a company is worth when it still several months away from showing it can process kenaf, and a year away from even being able to get its hands on some of the small (less than 50 acres) 2016 NC hemp crop?

While dozens of farmers have voiced interest in hemp, Shumaker expects production will start small: Less than 50 acres likely will be planted in the first year, growing to about 1,200 acres in the second year.
