Tyson Foods plans to close two aging prepared-food plants, affecting 880 jobs, in the face of prohibitive renovation costs and changing demand. The company expects to cease operations at a pepperoni plant in Wisconsin and a prepared foods facility in Illinois during the second half of the year ending Oct. 1.
