Rod, if Helen moves back to the Bay Area as I suspect will happen, the new space will have to be called HQ.

In the short time that she's been with us, it's possible that she may have never left.
Also, if she actually did engineer this deal as part of her quasi compensation package, then it will, in the end, be of minor concern since a small office suite should not be too burdensome on the bottom line.
However, if this is a genuine initiative to attract scientific talent as the company has put forward, then the space will necessarily be much larger to accomodate labs, etc. This will not be a problem either for obvious reasons of growth of the company, etc.
So, either way, it doesn't pose too much of a problem, but my cynicism will remain unquenched until we get more info.
BTW, what the heck is "Global Scientific Communications"? Is that another PR job? One doesn't need a lab for that, I'd imagine.
You are so right in that so much is going on at Halozyme and in the biotech realm in general.
