Ophir Disappointed at G4/50-11 Well, Gulf of Thailand

Ophir has made a non-commercial discovery in the G4/50-11 exploration well in G4/50 license, located in the South Western Graben of the Gulf of Thailand.

The well had targeted the Parichat Southwest prospect. The well was drilled to a total depth of 2,830m (True Vertical Depth Sub-Sea) and encountered oil in both the primary Oligocene and secondary Miocene reservoir targets. The well encountered an aggregate 5.5 m of net oil pay. The well also encountered a greater thickness of reservoir sands than expected pre-drilling.
