Note to CurAegis Website Administrator:

There appears to be a problem with the way the curaegis domain name was set up for an Amazon Web Services website. The "alias" for curaegis.com may not have be properly set for www.curaegis.com!!!! This may explain why Cornbread's IT department mishandled the curaegis.com domain IP address. "www." needs to be added to curaegis.com to get the IP address, and adding "www." should NOT be required!!!

If you enter "http://curaegis.com"; in your browser search window, there should be an automatic redirect to "http://www.curaegis.com/";. This does not happen! You get a "Page can't be displayed" message. You can only reach the website by entering "www.curaegis.com". The the "www." cannot be left out. Entering "torvec.com" will automatically redirect to "http://www.torvec.com"; for example.

The following are excerpts from "Getting Started with AWS" which suggest that item "4.-d." was not followed properly:

Step 5: Associate a Domain Name with Your Website Using Amazon Route 53

"To configure the alias resource record set for your www subdomain"

"4.-d. Click Alias Target. Select your www subdomain website endpoint from the list (for example, www.example.com). Do not select the root domain endpoint (for example, example.com)."

"If you open your www subdomain (such as www.example.com) in your web browser, it redirects to your domain (such as example.com)."
(i.e. either www.example.com or example.com should get you to the website.)

I am pretty sure the folks at Torvec read the postings on this message board. So Mr. Website Administrator - FIX IT!!!
